Donate to the building fund for importing/building a large Marionette partner for Vital and they will then be able to accompany each other to parks and parking lots and festivals.
Vital will personally puppeteer a thank you photo/note to send via snail mail for anyone who helps him order a partner.
Vital Energos, (vee tahl en air goes), is a 14 foot tall doll/puppet/ marionette who is built as a complete skeleton wooden and metal substructure. He has a body mass and skin of wood ache and fabric coated with a water repellent wood glue that allows some flexibility and protection from rain and snow. He is built using the same articulation as the smaller doll/puppets that I have built for Glopera over the last 35 years.
My dolls are always imbued with character profiles and have become a part of Glopera Puppet Theater. Vital is an interactive member of our troop who embodies the idea that we are evidence of life when we move and when we engage with our surroundings. He is able to be operated/articulated by the general public and in a nice sense of metaphor, the operator ends up moving similar to Vital when in motion. He is a ridiculously large gentle and joyous creature who is set to be an actor in outdoor or high ceilinged indoor events.
We imagine Vital being joined by a slightly taller feminine doll/puppet/marionette. Her name is Tera Firma, and she represents all the matter in the world that is recombobulated to form all things living and not. The two of them will be used to act out simple interactions that call to attention the sublime beauty of life in it's basic forms. They will move in a lifelike fashion. We intend to build an armature that allows them to sit, stretch and walk across a park or a parking lot together.
